I decided to bowl once again in the South Florida Masters tournament. As usual, it
takes about a 740 or 750 for me to have a chance to make the cut. It's challenging,
and I like it that way.
I started on lanes 3 and 4. In the first game, I started off with a strike, and left
a 2-4-5-7 in the second, which I converted. I then struck the next three times, before
leaving a 10-pin, which I converted. I struck again, and then chopped the 5 off the
9 in the 9th. I struck out in the tenth for a 225.
In the second game, I alternated spares and strikes, and threw a 4-bagger in the
middle for a 215 game. To start the third game, I threw a turkey, followed by a 4-6-7-10
split, which was not really fair to me, because I thought I threw it great (maybe
I threw it too good). Then I left a 4 pin in the 5th frame, and converted that. I
then struck out from the 6th frame to finish that game with a 252, and a 692 series.
For the 3 game block, I thought I bowled very well. I tugged a few shots here and
there, but that's fine, considering I was trying to keep my backswing low on purpose
to get a better ball reaction on those lanes.
I did not make it, obviously. Next weekend, I will be in Cleveland, GA. See you then!
